![]() ![]() They made many memories golfing, lighting firecrackers, and the many stories Lee would share with them. He loved spending time with his children, especially his grandchildren. Lee enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, cooking, and riding his motorcycle. He was also a longtime member of the Ames American Legion. Lee was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Ames where he was a faithful member for many years. On July 26, 1986, he was united in marriage to Mary Larimore and she presented him with three other children: David, Dawn, and Douglas. ![]() In 1968, Lee was united in marriage to Judy McAtee and they were blessed with two daughters, Keri and Lori. In 1969, he started his employment as an Electrician for the City of Ames Power Plant and retired in 2010. After he returned home for the service, Lee worked for Larson and Charlotte as a brick tender. Lee joined the Air Force in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1967. In 1963, he graduated from Atlantic High School. Lee Arnold Rasmussen was born August 12, 1944, the son of Elliott and Amanda (Wiechman) Rasmussen in Audubon, Iowa. ![]()
